Unix Administrator
Descrierea postului:
– To provide level 1 and level 2 system administration and technical support
– Installation and maintenance of Unix servers (AIX);
– Installation, configuration and maintainance of WebSphere Application Server on
AIX platforms;
– Security hardening and patching of Unix servers;
– Server performance monitoring and tuning;
– Management and timely completion of help desk tickets;
– Configuration change co-ordination and execution;
– Problem investigation, resolution, reporting and compliance;
– Interfaces with hardware and software support vendors
Cerinte:
– Thorough knowledge of RAID / SAN disk subsystems
– Understanding of Backup strategies and disaster recovery
– Knowledge of network infrastructure and architecture
– Knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols and services
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Systems
or equivalent work experience
– Minimum two years of experience in managing an 24×7 environment consisting of
multiple servers (AIX preferably)
– Experience with Linux operating system and batch scripting in BASH/KSH/CSH
– Solid experience with state-of-the-art data and system recovery concepts and
products such as IBM`s Tivoli Storage Manager and HACMP
– Proven technical problem solving skills
– Strong communication skills
– Knowledge of English language is a must
