At the beginning of 2006, OTP Bank Romania launched not less than seven different types of banking cards (debit and credit cards), for both natural persons and corporate clients.
The MasterCard “Flat” debit cards issued by OTP Bank Romania represent a premiere on the Romanian market, being the first un-embossed cards issued directly under the MasterCard logo by a Romanian bank. Together with the embossed MasterCard “Standard” cards, the MasterCard “Flat” cards are offered to all clients once they open a current account in RON or EUR, thus representing the optimal instruments for non-stop access to the account, for making payments or cash withdrawal, both in Romania and abroad, including the Internet transactions.
The “Silver” VISA Business and “Electron” Visa Business cards, addressed to corporate clients, are available in RON and EUR and allow their users to make electronic payments and cash withdrawals, directly from the company’s account, thus exonerating companies from making the afferent operations to confer of cash advance for the employees.
The MasterCard “All Inclusive” credit card form OTP Bank Romania offers a credit limit up to EUR 5,000 (the equivalent in RON). Furthermore, the clients can practically obtain a credit without interest and with a grace period of up to 45 days, and the monthly minimum amount due represents only 5% of the utilized credit.
The VISA Junior cards are addressed to natural persons with the age between 14 and 25 years old. OTP Bank Romania offers these cards in two alternatives: VISA Junior Plus – for the age category between 14 and 18 years and VISA Junior Max – for the age category between 18 and 25 years. OTP Bank Romania will soon widen its card portfolio, by introducing new products such as: VISA Classic and VISA Gold credit cards, as well as “co-branded” and “affinity” cards, issued under the MasterCard logo, in collaboration with well-established partner companies from Romania.
In parallel, OTP Bank Romania administrates a network of 58 ATMs placed in the most important cities of the country, a network that will be extended up to a number of 100 ATMs by the end of the year.
