The retail division has been established as a greenfield investment after the acquisition of RoBank, which was a small but solid bank focusing on the corporate segment. The Retail Division launched its services in last October, with several products – personal loan, personal loan with mortgage, mortgage loan, followed in February by the beginning to issue cards and the setting up of an ATM network, and the OTPdirekt (integrated call center and internet banking service) in April.

As part of the bank’s retail offer, the credits can be provided in different currencies –RON, EUR, CHF – and they target each consumer category, from freelancers to pensioners, from Romanian to foreign citizens. A strong differentiator is the bank’s policy to also take into consideration other types of income than salaries – allowance, incomes from independent activities, copyrights, commissions and rents.
