Associate Director Horatiu Florescu, the bank’s broker, stated that through this relocation his client upgraded its space while remaining in the same emerging business area. Aviatorilor-Charles de Gaulle-Dorobanti is an area preferred by many banks: HVB and Raiffeisen will be located in CDG Plaza, while Eurom Bank and Banca Anglo-Romana are located in two stand alone buildings in the area. Other tenants in the area are Mobifon, OMV, Alpha Bank and Musat & Asociatii.

Libra Bank’s current premises include the ground floor and first three upper levels of the four-storey building. Quality finishing, international communication facilities and western standards are provided, including one elevator, air conditioning and computer cabling. The fourth floor of the building is occupied by another Colliers client.

This relocation emphasizes bank’s expansion and development strategy, as a direct result of bank new membership to New Century Holdings (NCH) group of companies, since with May 2003. New Century Holdings is an investment group, active in Romania and in other East European countries. The investments made by NCH are above 2 billion USD, out of which an important part – over 200 million USD – has been invested in Romania.

Further to this purchase, Libra Bank set its main objectives in 2005 – doubling assets and number of clients, increasing market share in the area of retail and SMEs, and expanding its territorial network.

„Libra Bank is an expanding bank. This year, nine outlets will be opened in Bucharest and in several other cities, for which more than 1.5 million USD has been allocated. The number of outlets will expand to 14 by the end of the year” said Vice-President Emil Bituleanu.
