Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking in Romania today announced that its Global Transaction Services business has been ‘Top Rated’ in the Global Custodian Agent Banks in Emerging Markets Survey 2006, said the bank in a statement.
Citigroup was also ‘Top Rated’ in Central and Eastern Europe and Globally as well as in the Americas & Caribbean and Asia regions. The 21 markets in which Citigroup is now ‘Top Rated’ are: Romania, Australia, Austria, China, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and United Kingdom.

Global Custodian Agent Banks in Emerging Markets Survey, now in its 18th year and regarded as a bench mark for the industry, is based on analysis of responses from the cross-border, non-affiliated (CBNA) domestic and affiliated clearing and custody clients of agent banks in 68 markets. Respondents rated their providers on 60 separate questions, divided into 10 service categories.
