The central bank reference rate is the average rate of all pen market operations.
The central bank cut this year the reference rate in four stages from 20.75% to 18.75%. The first cut was made in June, when the central bank lowered the intervention rate from 20.75% to 20.25%. The following two cuts, in July and in August, lowered the intervention rate by 0.75 percentage points each.
