The total volume of credits granted by the bank amounted to 2.4 billion euros, 38% more that recorded in September 2004. The credits granted to the population boosted by 96 percent, while company financing went up by 14 percent. According to the bank’s president, Patrick Gelin, the results could be affected in the last quarter of the year due to the recent regulations promoted by the National Bank of Romania and its policy regarding interest rates. BRD had in September over 500 ATMs and 1.7 million clients.
