“We are immensely pleased that we defended this title this year. It is the result of the professional approach of the employees of Èeská spoøitelna, the growing quality of services, the offering of an exceptional distribution network, and comprehensive services for retail customers, companies, the public sector, and nonprofit organisations,” said Martin ©kopek, the Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy C.E.O. of Èeská spoøitelna, who accepted the award in London, on Tuesday. “We will do all that we can to be just as successful in the future,” he added.
Those banks which are invited into the competition, The Banker Awards, are evaluated by the specialists of the journal The Banker, and not only from the perspective of their stability, health, profitability, and return on income. They must also demonstrate that they use modern technology in order to strengthen their position on the market, and must show what sort of strategy and promise they have for the future. All of these parameters are then evaluated by the international jury, which assesses each bank’s results for the evaluated year and also its expected position in the year to follow.
Aside from the international award of The Bank of the Year 2005 for the Czech Republic, Èeská spoøitelna also obtained the domestic honour, Zlatá koruna (Gold Crown), in which a hundred financial experts and economic writers evaluated, in 14 categories, 144 financial products for retail clients and SMEs. Of the eight products of the ÈS Financial Group which received honours, four products obtained the top prize, Zlatá koruna.
